Six things somebody has probably already said to you.
“You need twenty percent down.”
Most people I close do not put down twenty percent.
“You need perfect credit.”
You need a real picture, not a perfect one.
“Pre qualified is the same as pre approved.”
It is not, and a seller knows the difference.
“Renting is throwing money away.”
Sometimes renting is the right answer. I have told people to wait.
“Being self employed rules you out.”
It does not. It changes which documents we start with.
“All lenders are basically the same.”
The loan estimate exists precisely so you can check that.

Shift work pay that arrives in four pieces, a benefit with rules most people have never read, an income that is not a paycheck. Spend enough time at the edges of this and the middle stops being difficult.
So if you are salaried, buying your first place, and nothing about your situation is complicated, that is not a lesser version of this. It is the straightforward version, and you should expect it to feel straightforward.
